For nearly eight years, many of the leading enterprise content management (ECM) vendors attempted to either acquire or develop the components necessary to create a comprehensive and fully integrated suite of ECM applications. Just as IT buyers began to accept that traditional ECM vendors have been unable to deliver on this promise, Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS)2007 has once again raised expectations that an all-in-one ECM suite is just around the corner.
